Biography/Research Focus
My research is studying the interplay between lipids and prostate cancer cells. Specifically, my work investigates how lipids affect prostate cancer cell growth and death, the effect of lipids on prostate cancer cell responses to drugs and the regulation of lipid biosynthesis by androgen hormones, which are the main driver of prostate cancer cell growth. This work will help us know more about how lipids can be used as biomarkers of tumour aggressiveness and treatment response in prostate cancers.
