Antonio Inserra, grew up in Italy. He studied Biotechnology for the production of diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines at Universita’ di Urbino Carlo Bo, Italy from 2000 to 2005. After that, he completed his mater degree of Biotechnology at Australian National University, Canberra. His thesis entitled “Potential links amongst psychiatric disorders, inflammation and epigenetics, a molecular and behavioural study”. He then worked as a research assistant at Psychopharmacology group, University of Sydney, to study oxytocin.
Antonio Inserra is interested in the interface of brain, neurokines and behaviour.
His PhD project title: Characterization of the behavioural and molecular response to restraint stress in caspase1 (ICE1), inducible nitric oxide synthase-2 (iNOS) and interferon-gamma receptor (IFN-ɣ-R) triple knockout mouse model.
