Notification of intent to submit a funding application

Researchers are required to notify the SAHMRI Research Support office of their intent to submit an application for research funding. Notification is necessary four weeks prior to the funding schemes submission deadline (closing date) and is required regardless of whether Institutional certification is required before an application is submitted to the funding body.

Please note that it is essential that the SAHMRI Research Support office is aware of your application and that your project can be accommodated within SAHMRI. Researchers are required to email a copy of their final application to the SAHMRI Research Support office.

Review requests

Compliance reviews of grant funding applications are not compulsory but are recommended. Reviews will provide feedback to researchers with information for their consideration with respect to complying with the schemes guidelines as set out by the funding body.

If you require costings for Core Services and Facilities (including biomedical services and cryogenic facilities), animal purchase prices and Animal House costs please contact the relevant Manager.

Ethics and Safety

If it is a condition of the grant scheme that you obtain relevant ethical approvals and/or safety clearances, it is the researchers responsibility to arrange them. Copies of all approvals are required to be emailed to the Research Office.
